We had the pleasure of viewing the Texas madrone, (Arbutus xalapensis var. texana) in the Chisos Mountains while on our trip to Big Bend last week. I have always loved this tree and have longed to have one of my own. After doing a little research for this photo I find that it takes almost a century for them to grow to a mature height of 20-30 feet. I guess that makes this tree about 75 years old. Oh that I should look this outstanding at 75.
Age well on your journey…nada te turbe†††jim
