Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it” Proverbs 4:23

I have found that I truly find my heart in photography when I am making images of: flowers, insects, birds, wildlife, nature and kids. It made me stop and search for what is common in all these things ?  My answer came to me in morning prayers, that all of these are quick to show their true heart. It is never hidden.

For our date night last night we watched the movie “Snow Falling on Cedars” the film adaption of David Guterson’s 1994 novel about a man finding his heart and expressing true love. A constant theme and search for me. Guterson was a high school literature teacher who wrote this revealing story in his early morning hours before going to teach. It took him 10 years to complete. What a testament to the plot of his heart.

There is a line  spoken by an older defense lawyer ( played very convincingly by Max von Sydow) where he says: “Accident rules every corner of the universe except the chambers of the heart.”. That line so resonated with me, that it is so true that the heart, your true heart, does nothing by accident. “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21.

So, where is your treasure on your journey?†††nade te turbe†††jim
