We are visiting family in the Dallas area and I went out in the heat stalking to see what I could find. I found this little 3-4″ specimen  wandering about securely camouflaged amongst the green. He was fairly cooperative with posing, but he did not like the flashes going off. He would filch and back away every time I made an exposure.  But he never ran too far away. These are probably very common for a lot of you, but for this West Texas boy, I just don’t get to see many lizards that don’t have horns.

Try to blend in and not be green with envy about all you find.
