“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”
― Rabindranath Tagore

We have been so blessed with our weather (rain), cool temperatures, lots of bugs & butterflies, and some of the best  southwest Texas sunrises & sunsets. This view was given to me earlier this week on our evening walk with Clovis & Grace.  A little more than a block away from my home I came upon this structure and view. I have walked past a thousand times giving it little more than a glimpse. On this evening it was aglow in that brief gift of the golden hour and one just had to stop and admire. To wonder not only of God’s work, but what man had long ago crafted this gate. Before there was a neighborhood, it was his ranch, his land and I had never walked by.

Gates are made to both keep out and to let in. It let in a moment of wonder and reflection that now sits in my overflowing cupboard of life’s blessings.

Are  gates keeping you out or letting you in? ††† en theos ††† jimwork
