      1. Sounds like my cat. He was rescued by my first cat, who brought him in the house and stood guard while he ate food from the food bowl. he was so thin and neglected and untrusting…he would growl when he ate because he was trying to scare me off. Eventually he became the most gentle and loving cat, and he pines terribly if someone doesn’t come home when he expects them to. He walks through every room in the house calling for them. Rescued animals are precious. I’m glad your dog has found such a loving and understanding home.
