“When the world is all at odds
And the mind is all at sea
Then cease the useless tedium
And brew a cup of tea.
There is magic in its’ fragrance,
There is solace in its’ taste;
And the laden moments vanish
Somehow into space.
And the world becomes a lovely thing!
There’s beauty as you’ll see;
All because you briefly stopped
To brew a cup of tea.”

I actually drink more coffee than tea. Yet, the alure of the romance of tea, the whole ceremony of brewing and serving pulls on me with a constant force.

Just feeling the need for just a little calm beauty. Summer is ending and we are back in working mode. Need peace, a calm heart and a cooling influence for manana. We have about 150 high school football boys to photograph in the debilitating west TX 100 degree heat. Be calm my heart, be cool my spirit.

If you have ever had the experience of riding in a car (or driving, YIKS) in rush hour (like any time of the day) in India, only then can you appreciate this young lady’s calm demeanor. I was in a taxi and was actually hoping that the heat would kill me so I could avoid the trauma of a car crash. She was calmly looking around behind her. It was a brief moment when I had my eyes open so I took a quick image…..enjoy….nada te turbe…..jim†
