Once again the beauty that one only finds in nature. The intricacies of the color and pattern just flat out amaze me. And all found right in my yard. Life is good in da hood.

After spending the day mowing most all my yard, I was sitting on the front porch and enjoying the most incredible weather. It was 49 this morning and rose to the low 80s. I deciding to do a search around the yard looking for a likely subject. It was slim pickings, but at last I spied this lovely little butterfly on the Fire bush. It was about the size of my thumb nail. He sat with his wings spread open long enough to grab 4 exposures. He then closed his wings and allowed me one quick capture and took off to do whatever little butterflies do.
Wish I looked as good coming and going!
