“Sing like no one is listening,
LOVE LIKE YOU’VE NEVER BEEN HURT,
dance like nobody’s watching,
and live like it’s heaven on earth.”
Mark Twain

Empty hands held high
Such small sacrifice
If not joined with my life
I sing in vain tonight
May the words I say
And the things I do
Make my lifesong sing
Bring a smile to You
Let my lifesong sing to You
Let my lifesong sing to You
I want to sign Your name to the end of this day
Knowing that my heart was true
Let my lifesong sing to You
Lord I give my life
A living sacrifice
To reach a world in need
To be Your hands and feet
So may the words I say
And the things I do
Make my lifesong sing
Bring a smile to You
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Let my lifesong sing to You
I wasn’t raised in a church so raising hands in praise and prayer seems foreign to me. I wish I could put my hands up as this Indian lady did during worship. Her hands bore the tattoos and wear of work from a hard life, but she proudly sang her Lifesong, just like CastingCrowns song proclaims. Someday, maybe I will be able to show my wounds and scars in praise. It just feels unnatural and clumsy of me to do it……peace….nada te turbe…..jim†
